Welcome to Mule Train

Mule Train is a Southern-inspired restaurant from husband-wife duo Mike and Shyretha Sheats, located in Atlanta’s revitalized South Downtown. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the mule train that was Mike’s aunt and uncle’s house, which was a stopping point and community gathering spot in rural Northeast Georgia. Utilizing this inspiration, the Sheatses are passionate about creating a space that’s welcoming to everyone, and offering dishes that are centered around the foodways and family gathering traditions of Northeast Georgia.

The menu draws on Southern traditions, seasonal ingredients, and farmer relationships, offering classic dishes with a twist via unexpected preparations and flavors. The beverage menu is a curated list of specialty and classic cocktails, aperitifs, and fortified wines, in addition to an ever-evolving list of house favorite wines and a rotating draft program.

The 40-seat restaurant is located at 87 Broad Street and serves lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Lunch is available from 11:00am – 2:30pm and dinner is served from 5:30pm – 9:00pm. Reservations are available via Resy with walk-ins welcomed as space allows.
